On 27 May 2026 the Supreme Court upheld the Bihar Special Intensive Revision and gave the Election Commission a limited, “not unbounded” power over documents. On 5 October, CJI Surya Kant said any modified Form 6 “has not been approved by us.” The clean-roll case and the form case are no longer the same case.
